USB 2.0 Driver


NEC Electronics does NOT provide any USB device drivers. The basic USB drivers are bandled in Operating System as follows, but it may be not supported for all of USB device in retail. If you need to get specific USB drivers, please contact vendors / manufactures of your device set.


Windows® USB 2.0 driver

  • Windows® Vista
    USB2.0 driver is supported for all edition of Windows® Vista.
  • Windows® XP
    USB2.0 driver is supported in Service Pack 1(SP1) or later for Windows® XP,which is available through Microsoft®Windows® Update
  • Windows® 2000
    USB2.0 driver is supported in Service Pack4 (SP4) for Windows 2000, which is available through Microsoft®Windows® Update or Microsoft®Windows® Update Catalog
  • Windows® 98/SE/Me
    Contact your motherboard or PCI/PC card manufacturer.
  • Windows® CE
    USB2.0 driver is supported in Windows® CE 5.0.

USB 2.0 driver for embedded OS

USB2.0 driver for embedded OS, such as µITRON and VxWorks, will be supported by several software companies. For more details, please refer to the "Links" page.


Linux® USB 2.0 driver

Linux USB 2.0 driver is supported from kernel 2.4.19 or later. Kernel is updated regularly, and the problems in older version may be solved in the latest kernel. So it is desirable to use the latest one. The following URL is for your reference.
