Procurement policy for fiscal 2007
NEC Electronics operates and develops business in line with the guiding principles: "Raising customer satisfaction levels by enforcement of customer-oriented and improvement of solution suggestion power and product quality to increase sales and improve profitability." Corporatewide activity of providing optimized solutions to the customer is supported in the purchasing department by strengthening partnership with vendors.
We have 4 points as a procurement policy in fiscal 2007.
- Assure supply corresponding to the new production system
- Cost reduction activity corresponding to characteristics of each product type
- Improvement of the quality (Zero-Defect)
- Procurement activity inform a CSR standpoint including green procurement
We explained these 4 points to our partners at "NEC Electronics Partner's Day 2007" on June 13th.

Supply and demand still remains stringent about some materials and equipment for semiconductor production. Therefore, we continue to combine cost reduction and the stable supply based on the collaboration with partners in this fiscal year.
