| Bear in mind the following points
when mounting THDs on a printed wiring board: |
| (1) Do not allow the bottom
surface of THD to contact the PWB. |
|
For the following reasons,
take care to prevent the bottom surface of THD from contacting the board.
1) To facilitate flux cleaning
2) To effectively release the heat generated in the THD so as to prevent the temperature of the THD
from rising |
| (2) Do not apply excessive
force to the pins. |
|
To form the pins of a
THD into the desired shape, securely fix them close to the bottom surface of the device with pincers
or a tool or jig.
When removing the THD from the board, do not apply force to the pins with the tip of a heated soldering
iron. |
