CHAPTER 2 PRINTED WIRING BOARD DESIGN

2.3 THDs
2.3.2 Pin existence range calculation

[ Combination of pin width tolerance and positional tolerance ]: indicating pin existence range

Combination of pin width tolerance and positional tolerance (equation)(2.16KB)

According to these setting values, the pin existence area is within the range determined by a pin positional tolerance of x = 0.25 mm when the pin row interval = 7.62 mm (300 mil) + pin pitch.

A concrete calculation example is shown below.

The allowable existence area of pin width direction
 = 2 x [b MAX./2 + x/2] = 2 x [0.60/2 + 0.25/2]
 = 2 x [0.85/2] = 0.85 mm

This relationship is shown in Figure 2-16.
