NEC Electronics' Activities
NEC Electronics helped launch the PCI Express market and continues to develop PCI Express products. Development of designable ASIC cores has already been completed.
NEC Electronics is actively engaged in product development ahead of the competition. For example, we staged electrical and protocol demonstrations at the Intel Developer Forum Fall 2002 held in fall of 2002, and at the WinHEC 2003 conference held in early summer of 2003, we have exhibited a video playback demonstration connecting an evaluation board featuring a NEC Electronics-developed evaluation chip to a motherboard via the PCI Express bus.
