NEC Electronics and Wipro Sign Certified Design House Agreement

Enhanced Engineering, Design and Sales Support for ISSP^TM Structured ASICs

NEC Electronics Corp. and Wipro Technologies, the Global IT Services Division of Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT) today announced an agreement whereby Wipro will provide engineering and design services based on NEC Electronics' ISSP^TM structured ASICs. The agreement, entered into by Wipro and NEC Electronics Singapore, a subsidiary of NEC Electronics Corp., will allow ISSP customers worldwide to receive design support from Wipro for the complete lineup of ISSP products, which includes ISSP1 and ISSP90.

Wipro is one of the largest providers of ASIC design services in world, with high quality system level support and a wide portfolio of wireless and wireline IPs. Wipro's experience, together with the benefits of NEC Electronics' ISSP such as embedded Design For Test (DFT), will enable ISSP customers to achieve faster time to market with less investment, even at the 90-nanometer node.
