This year, the exhibition booth was divided into “Microcontroller” and “Automotive Solutions” corners. Visitors can see and try out the demo themselves with explanations from our friendly staffs.
Demonstrated in here are LCD display powered by 8-bit microcontroller, which can be used in various kinds of household electronics.
Main features of Lx3 lineup include:
1. Consuming less than 50% of power than previous 78K0/Lx2.
2. Offering a 64-fold improvement in resolution over the previous generation of devices through a 16-bit A/D converter.
3. Choosing from 76 configurations (by speed, memory, and package) best-fit for your design.
78K0/Lx3 lineup can also be recommended for battery control utilized in the health care electronics.
Boasting 1.8mW/MIPS of low-power, high performance, 78K0R/Kx3 series is now first being adopted in IPv6 protocol routers. Furthermore, optimized for the tiny 24Kbytes program size, 78K0R/Kx3 can also be embedded into household electronics system.
Demonstrated in here is a remotely controlled robot arm where visitors can control it through Internet. The robot arm is connected to Internet by an IPv6 switching hub and 78K0R evaluation kit.
Demonstrated in here is a 32-bit Flash Microcontroller boasting 1MB flash memory with 69 MIPS of performance. Using V850ES/JJ3 lineup, various solutions, including voice synthesis and networking, can be realized without additional memory!
In the demo, a 2D graphic is processed by using the control panel in the booth. Visitors can experience the kind of things that can be done by V850ES/JJ3 lineup.
The V850E/IG3 is a 32-bit RISC microcontroller for high-performance inverter control systems. Since many peripheral circuits have been integrated together, a highly-efficient, fine-tuned motor control can be implemented by just simply connecting the power module to the microcontroller!
Applications include air conditioner, laundry machine, and etc.
ZigBee is a specification for a suite of high level communication protocols that could be adapt in markets from home to industrial uses. Some of the ZigBee benefits include relay function, energy efficiency, and etc.
In the demo booth, a simulation of 6-floors hotel housing 4 rooms on each floor is displayed. Each floor's room temperature is centrally monitored by placing ZigBee-enabled devices in each room and rooftop, where the "server" resides. ZigBee's ability to recalculate the network path in case of one device's failure meaning that a breakdown in 3rd floor's device will have no effect of whatsoever on the whole temperature-monitoring network!
NEC Electronics provide total support for building a Zigbee network.

From total beginners to experienced developers, NEC Electronics offer intuitive tools and programs for users who are interested in using NEC Electronics microcontrollers. For beginners and developers, Applilet EZ PL and MCU seminar are available respectively so anybody can start using NEC Electronics microcontrollers in the development.
In the booth, our staff provided an easy-to-understand orientation about microcontrollers and the kind of support system available for development.
Awarded by Nikkan-Kogyo as the Best Product of 2007, this processor was adopted in Lexus LS460 pre-crash safety system.
In the demo booth, an IMAPCAR-equipped RC car is moving along the racing course and steering clear of the wall and obstacles. Meanwhile, a TV is showing the crash-course analysis, processed by IMAPCAR chip, which is transferred from the camera mounted on the RC car. All of these are done without a pilot!
