The inverter air conditioners which are currently the mainstream technology in this sector control the current frequency flowing into the motor using an inverter circuit, allowing the number of rotations of the compressor, which is the core of the air conditioner, to be changed as required for temperature adjustment. Compared to the traditional current on/off method, this method consumes less energy with less temperature variation. Inverter control is one of the most outstanding NEC Electronics technologies, and is supported by microcomputers and the V850 family of products, both of which offer an abundant choice of development tools.
