Environmental Management Systems
NEC Electronics is creating and implementing an envionmental management system in conformity with ISO14001 standards, and are working in accordance with mid- and long-term plans to reduce our impact on the environment in the cource of our activities in the semiconductor industry.
The NEC Electronics Group recognizes that global environmental issues are directly linked to sustainable development of its business. It is our intention to contribute to conservation of the global envionment in all of our semiconductor business activities.
- We produce eco-products by incorporating environmental considerations into the entire product life cycle from the design and development stage.
- In our eco-factories we are working to reduce the impact of production processes on the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions that leads to global warming and by phasing out hazardous chemical substances.
- We promote eco-communication by offering environmental education programs to raise employees' awareness of environmental issues, and by making information on our eco activities widely available to the public.
