Video Decoder LSI
Overview
The µPD64011B is a video decoder LSI supporting NTSC, PAL, and SECAM.
It is equipped with three channels of 10-bit A/D converters to input analog video signals, performs Y/C separation or noise reduction, color demodulation and various definition adjustment, and outputs Y/Cb/Cr parallel digital signals or digital signals conforming to ITU-R656.
When NTSC-M composite signals are input, a three-dimensional Y/C separation function can be used. In addition, a two-dimensional Y/C separation function with a logical comb filter can be used to process input PAL signals.

- Decodes video signals of NTSC, PAL, and SECAM with a single chip.
- Three channels of 10-bit A/D converters supporting composite, Y/C separate, and component signal input
- Six composite or Y signal, three C/Cr signal, and one Cb signal input lines selectable by internal input selector
- Supports 8-bit or 10-bit digital output, or ITU-R BT.656 digital output.
- Three-dimensional Y/C separation can be realized by adding external memory (SDRAM) when NTSC-M signal are input.
- Burst locked clock generator for NTSC/PAL and horizontal sync locked clock generator
- Digital chrome decode function (NTSC/PAL/SECAM)
- Clock rate conversion function that converts burst locked clock into horizontal sync clock
- Definition correction functions adjusting sub-contrast/sub-color, LTI/CTI, and sharpness
- Functions for drawing pictures, such as APL detection, DC transfer rate correction, white peak, black extension, and ACL
- VBI detection and slice functions
- Each function can be controlled by I2C bus.
- Two supply voltages: 1.5 and 3.3 V
