Toshio Nakajima
Toshio Nakajima

Toshio Nakajima, President and CEO

Toshio Nakajima became president and CEO of NEC Electronics on November 1, 2005.

In his more than 30 years with NEC companies, Mr. Nakajima has held a variety of executive management positions. In August 2001, he was appointed president and chief operating officer of NEC Electronics America, and in January 2002 became its president and chief executive officer, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and executing the company's strategies and goals as a major supplier of system LSI solutions in the Americas.

In June 2004, Mr. Nakajima was appointed to the NEC Electronics Corporation board of directors as a member of the board, and in April 2005, he was named as chairman of the board of directors for NEC Electronics America.

Previously, he served as general manager of NEC Corporation's 1st System LSI and System Micro Divisions, and also held the positions of chief manager of development and department manager in the System Micro Division.

He holds a degree in engineering from Kyoto University in Japan.

Junshi Yamaguchi, Executive Vice President and Member of the Board

As executive vice president of NEC Electronics, Junshi (JJ) Yamaguchi is in charge of the strategic business operations of the company's global operations. His primary areas of responsibility include the divisions in charge of sales, information systems, and import/export control.

Since joining NEC in 1976, Mr. Yamaguchi has held various management positions in sales and strategic planning. He has extensive experience in global business operations and management, serving six years in Germany as the European product marketing manager of the memory division, and nine years at NEC Electronics, Inc. (now NEC Electronics America, Inc.) where he oversaw the Corporate Operations Unit.

Mr. Yamaguchi was elected to NEC Electronics' board of directors in June 2005. He holds a degree in engineering from Keio University.

Yoshikazu Inada
Yoshikazu Inada

Yoshikazu Inada, Executive Vice President and Member of the Board

As executive vice president of NEC Electronics, Yoshikazu Inada oversees the company's Components Business Unit, as well as manufacturing operations.

Since joining NEC Corporation in 1969, Mr. Inada has held a wide range of positions related to sales and development of semiconductor devices. He was appointed senior vice president of NEC Electronics in 2002, and became a member of the board in June, 2006.

Mr. Inada holds a degree in engineering from Hiroshima University.

Zensuke Matsuda

Zensuke Matsuda, Executive Vice President and Member of the Board

Zensuke Matsuda was appointed executive vice president in May 2007.

In his more than 30 years with NEC companies, he has held a wide variety of engineering and management positions in the areas of semiconductor memory, power management devices, ASICs, and other advanced LSI chips. In his current role he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's system-on-chip (SoC) Business Unit.

Mr. Matsuda was elected to NEC Electronics’ board of directors in June 2007. He holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from Yamagata University.

Yoichi Yano
Yoichi Yano

Yoichi Yano, Executive Vice President and Member of the Board

Yoichi Yano was appointed executive vice president in May 2007.

Since joining NEC Corporation in 1980, he has held a variety of positions in microcomputer design, engineering, and management. In his current position as head of NEC Electronics' MCU Business Unit, he oversees all aspects of MCU development and manufacturing.

Mr. Yano was elected to NEC Electronics' board of directors in June 2007. He holds a master's degree in engineering from Kyoto University.
