CBLite™ (Features/Basic Specifications)


Features

Current cell-based ICs can be designed with a fairly high degree of freedom with regard to pin layout, mounted IP, etc. However, this also means that feasibility studies are required for each product, which raises development costs due to the use of dedicated IP cores, manufacturing jigs and tools, etc.
CBLite standardizes development methods and manufacturing lines by fixing the placement of pins such as the power supply pins and PLL pins, and setting restrictions such as the use of field-proven mounting IP cores and EDA tools. CBLite products are provided as cell-based ICs for use in products that are manufactured in comparatively low quantities, and as such they are recommended for users who until now had given up cell-based IC development due to low manufacturing quantities.
