Features
- Load Short Protection
- Overcurrent detected: shut down (latch)
- Overload detected: shut down (latch)
- Overheat detected: shut down (self recovery)
- Reverse Battery Protection
- Self-diagnostics
- Load current sensing (offset current minimized) Note: µPD166010 only
- An error signal is output upon shut down due to overheat detection or load short
The offset current of the sense output has a large impact on the sense ratio of the low-current range.
For applications that require current-monitoring precision at 2.5 A or lower, we offer products with minimized sense-current offset current and reduced variance in the sense ratio by controlling the on resistance of the sensing MOS.
Reduce diode loss by turning on output MOS upon reverse battery
