In airbag systems, the number of satellite sensors that detect a collision and the number of bags has tended to increase in order to improve the safety of passengers during a collision.
Microcontrollers capable of high-speed processing are required to process the data input from the sensors at high speeds and appropriately control triggering of the airbags.
A high-speed SPI function and peripheral functions such as CAN and LIN buses are also required to perform cooperative control between peripheral devices and other modules.
Our 32-bit microcontrollers for automotive applications meet these needs. Also, our ESD protection diodes are suitable for protecting against external noise and bidirectional surges that may occur during CAN or LIN communication and for minimizing devices and reducing their price.
* CAN : Controller Area Network
* LIN : Local Interconnect Network
* SPI : Serial Peripheral Interface
